By downloading, accessing, or using the Hodlr. application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use Hodlr. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you confirm that you have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to use the app and agree to these terms. We reserve the right to request proof of age or parental consent at any time.
Hodlr. provides tools for portfolio tracking and education. We are not a wallet provider or an exchange. We do not store, process, or have access to your private keys or cryptocurrency funds. You are solely responsible for securing your wallet, passwords, seed phrases, and app PIN codes. Hodlr. cannot be held liable for any loss of funds.
The "Pheus" AI assistant uses third-party Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically Google Gemini. While we strive for high-quality educational content, AI can generate incorrect or misleading information ("hallucinations"). You should always verify critical information regarding the Bitcoin protocol, security practices, or network status independently. Pheus does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
When using Nexus Messenger, you agree not to transmit illegal, harassing, defamatory, or malicious content. You are responsible for all files, audio recordings, and text you share. The in-app contact sharing feature allows you to share Nexus user profiles with other Nexus users — this does not access or transmit data from your device's phone contacts. We reserve the right to ban users, delete accounts, or remove content if a user is reported for violating these terms (e.g., spam or abuse).
Certain features, such as unlimited AI prompts and advanced Academy levels, require a paid subscription ("Hodlr Prime"). Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payments and cancellations are managed entirely through your device's respective App Store (Apple or Google Play). Refund policies are governed by the respective App Store's terms.
Hodlr. integrates third-party data for market prices, news, and the Bitcoin Merchant Map (via OpenStreetMap / Overpass API). We do not guarantee the accuracy, uptime, or reliability of this third-party data. A merchant appearing on the map does not guarantee they currently accept Bitcoin. Market data provided by CoinGecko, CryptoCompare, Mempool.space, and Frankfurter API may be delayed or inaccurate.
All content, design, code, and branding of Hodlr. (including the name "Hodlr.", "Pheus", logos, and visual design) are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without prior written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hodlr. is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, data loss, or losses resulting from investment decisions made based on app data. This limitation of liability does not apply to damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part, or to liability that cannot be excluded under German law.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you must stop using the app and may delete your account.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer within the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Koblenz, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions require a different jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severed from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
